Soul Food - Courses update

Thought I would share some of the art work that I have been doing in the Soul Food Course that I started in December.  It is really great to be able to learn from so many different teachers and to see their different ways of learning.

Week 1 -  with Mystele - Playing with colour, my figure encourages me to fly and spread my wings as an artist, being confident and focused on the task at hand

Week 2 - with Gwen Seemel - sketching with colour reminded me of what I had been missing, sketching has always been important to me and it was freeing not using the pencil but committing with the colour to begin with, this is something I plan to do more of.

 Week 3 - with Cathy Bluteau - using our scraps to make a cake.  I took this and applied it to a recycled project that I had already been working on with the mini wall hangings.

Week 4  with Grace Howes - our journal which we can use for our some of our soul food sessions.  I love the colours I used and will be uploading some of the process images on my recycled projects page

Looking forward to showing more in the coming weeks, and update you on what has been happening in the studio, I have done quite a bit of work since my last post which I would love to share. Blessings for the weekend.

What's New on the scene?

I haven't been as current on my mixed media art blog as I should have been and I have decided to clean up my act.  I love it when I visit a blog and there is new content, but due to circumstances outside of my control which you can read HERE and HERE I had other things on my mind.

It is not to say that I haven't been creative, I have still been at it in the studio, and on my Inspiration, Arts and Creativity blog I have set up a 7 day schedule to cover the following, pop over and take a look at some of the posts:

Tomorrow I will be sharing more of my art work that I have been doing, and with that said I am also going to be taking part in Leah Piken Kolidas's  Art every day month for November , It would be great to have you join me in the journey this month ok a week has already passed, but its alright to start where you are.  

Take time to dig deep and create something every day for the month of November, it doesn't have to be anything complex or complicated, but making that effort to create everyday.  I look forward to seeing what you share.
