I loved how flexible the pencil could be and how many different shades and tones you could get
Here are some of the other drawings I did way back when I didn't know that I really, really wanted to be an artist, but kept the feelings locked deep down inside.
I gave up being creative for around 5 years complaining that the reasons why I didn't draw was because I didn't have a studio, didn't feel creative, didn't have the right material, weren't around inspiring people, had too much clutter, the sun wasn't shining in the right direction, you name it I could give a reason for it.
This is my current space and the kitchen table is to the left of the picture, its a lot tidier now, honest! I have been doing a lot of sorting and clearing :)
Alongside the work I currently do I've started sketching again, seeing the importance in being creative every day, you can take a pencil and pad anywhere. So I intend to make a committment to do a sketch on a daily basis and upload it say 3 times a week, it doesn't need to be finished, but its important to do something. I have been sampling Derwent Inktense pencils and their Graphtint and I have been looking at combining some of my images with poetry....
More next week, stay blessed!
You are so talented; I too feel sometimes
ReplyDeletethe conditions aren't right, but we have to press onward. YOUR work is amazing; I love that you are combining poetry, too~ xXx
